Syria Peace Talks, US Send its ambassador in Kazakhstan
Washington - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United States, Saturday, January 21, 2017, said his country will not send envoy from Washington to peace talks in the Syrian capital of Kazakhstan Astana next week.
According to the ministry spokesman, Mark Toner, the US sent the US ambassador to Kazakhstan Geroge Krol, a negotiation which diprakasrasi Russia on January 23, 2017.
"We welcome and appreciate Kazakhstan's invitation to attend the negotiations as observers," Toner said in a statement.
"Given the presidential inauguration and transisipemerintahan, so that the envoy from Washington did not attend the Astana conference."
Toner said the United States supports the political resolution as a way out solving problems as the Syrian people's will.
Earlier, on Friday, January 20, 2017, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he hoped the new administration of President Donald Trump sends an expert on the Middle East to follow the negotiation process.
